Kroos : Dreams of South Africa

Every soccer player dreams of playing in the World Cup. Toni Kroos is one of those players. So when Kroos was called to join Germany’s training camp, the call came as a surprise.
Joachim Loew, the national team’s coach, has selected 30 players to join the three day training camp. Kroos, who led Leverkeusen in its 3-0 win against Hoffenheim, was one of the players invited.
“I never thought I’d be called for the training camp, so I was surprised. But clearly, if I continue to play well then I can still dream of playing in the World Cup this summer,” Kroos said. He wants to continue to play well in Bundesliga for the rest of the season. “And see what will happen this summer,” he added.
Kroos is currently playing for Leverkusen on loan by Bayern Munich. The 20 year old credits his game playing to Leverkusen’s coach. Kroos has stated that his coach has always believed in him.
After the World Cup, Bayern may bring Kroos home. However, Kroos is open to all the possibilities.
“I can return to Bayern, one of the biggest clubs, or there may be other options,” said Kroos. He added that there will be talks of his future in the upcoming weeks. Till then, we’ll wait and dream about South Africa with Kroos.
