Blanc: Domenech Will not be New Coach

Juventus Chairman Jean-Claude Blanc has said that current France national team coach Raymond Domenech will take the position of head coach with Juventus.

Reports have surfaced suggesting that Blanc met up with Domenech to discuss the possibility of coaching at Juve following the World Cup tournament.

Blanc insists that Juventus have not approached Domenech and Domenech is not a candidate for the position.

“I haven’t crossed paths with nor met Raymond Domenech recently,” Blanc told L’Equipe. “And I haven’t spoken to him. The last time I saw him was at the Champions League game between Bayern and Juve.”

“I haven’t spoken to him. There is no possibility that Raymond Domenech becomes the next Juve coach.”

The Juventus position has been linked with Liverpool’s Rafael Benitex and Fiorentina’s Cesare Prandelli. News has it that current coach Alberto Zaccheroni must take the team to the Champions League to be able to stay another season with Juve.

Current France national team coach Domenech will definitely leave Les Bleus after the 2010 World Cup.
